I knew that Shelia had a long history and battle with depression and that's always something I've appreciated about her -her willingness to share and be transparent about it. She gives hope to those who also trudge through the same darkness. But "Wanting to let go"? Ohhh, I was worried. What did she want to "let go of?" Reading Holding On When You Want to Let Go was yet another time her words gave hope and encouragement. This book was written with candor, hope and empathy. The divine timeliness of its release cannot be denied. So many peoples lives are in turmoil and this book provides a lifeline because Sheila has been there. I was able to read this during my own time off uncertainties. Now I can say things are better but it took months for a resolution. One of the truths that resonated so deeply with me is that God wants our whole self...the good, bad, messy and ugly. I tend to isolate myself when I'm struggling so it was something I needed to hear and absorb. If you're struggling with hopelessness and want to quit, read this book. Buy extra copies to give to your friends. Sheila was a vessel God used to write words of light and life during a time of unrest and uncertainty.
